In and Around - The John Strong House
Addison, VT - On the shore of Lake Champlain
Mary's father's mother was a Tuthill. Her mother was a Strong, directly descended from the John Strong who built this house in Addison. There are a bunch of lovely brick and stone houses dating from the late 18th century. This one has been well preserved and turned into a museum. Its grounds contain the DAR State Park right on the lake. A quick photo tour of the John Strong House on an overcast day. The museum was closed so our activities were restricted to the outside. We also took in a bit of the park and took a picture of the lean-to we had occupied for a week thirty years ago.
